Booking Weddings in Advance 6-12 Months

I had a bride stop by to book her wedding for September, 2013. I was already booked. She has been booking venders since January. The referral was from a former bride who also caters and does florals for weddings and events in the Columbia and Hattiesburg Mississippi area. She occasionally works in Atlanta as well. The bride liked my style and said many of the photographers lacked a recognizable style. I said that we evolved from traditional to romantic to storytelling or photojournalism as our style. Many are one or the other. The one's who are claiming to be photojournalists are not that great for the most part. Many of their images are overly tilted and blown out with too much of the action sets applied. Great photography will wow you and stop you in your tracks with great creative and honest expression, great lighting and color along with technical excellence in color balance, focus and  exposure. Great photography is made to look easy for the photographer to capture.

Long Leaf Trace Walk

Took a walk on the Long Leaf Trace near the University of Southern Mississippi Sunday. The walk was refreshing and offered an opportunity to walk, run or bike the 26 mile trail to Prentiss, Ms. I will enjoy going further on my next trip and see some of the country side.
