Thanks to Meghan and Vicki for entertaining Owen for his first studio session. Nothing like a low key background and some vintage props and appropriate clothing to help build a great series of portraits of a one year old.

Neshoba County Fair 2013
I was able to visit the Neshoba County Fair which has been in existance for about 125 years near Philadelphia,MS. The fair was once featured in National Geographic Magazine. It attracts families and friends who stay in the cabins and relax

for a week. There is a carnival, bands, political speakers, horse and carriage races. This is a great place for families and friends to relax and kind of go back into time to a less stressful time.

Clarke Family in Studio for Family and Individual Portraits
I photographed the Clarke Families wedding in Natchez several years ago. They got married at First Baptist Church of Natchez, MS and the reception was at the Eola Hotel for a wonderful celebration. They hired me to do their destination wedding which was great! A fun family to photograph. They are planning some portraits to be made in the fall at their farm.
50th Wedding Anniversary Portrait
George and Jo Anne are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Both still in love and going on a great trip to Savannah, GA. They wanted a formal portrait but still maintaining character lines to show their true age but gracefully presented. Beautiful older couple enjoying married life. He still works in his Baptist Church office.
Miller Family Portraits in Sumrall MS Urban Landscapes
The Miller family visiting from Okenawa Japan where they are stationed in the US Marines wanted urban
landscape portraits of each family member, the whole family and individual portraits. The youngest family member Grace was in perpetual motion most of the time which was great whenever I was able to capture her carefree exploring journey around the area. There was an overcast condition and hot temperature but lighting was very forgiving. So I was able to photograph family, children, parents and teenagers in one sitting. People like natural smiles and true emotional expressions which aren't necessarily looking at the camera.
